Doctor Chocolate are a popular wedding band and every year our 9-piece band plays up to 50 weddings and corporate events in and around the Bristol area. That’s a lot of bookings for a large party band but it’s no surprise as we are one of the region’s most professional party and function bands.
With superb versatile musicians, great vocalists, sets full of non-stop, high-energy songs from the past 6 decades it’s no wonder that we are the No 1 Wedding band of choice.

In fact, we are so confident of our sound and performance we only upload videos on our website that are recorded 100% live at events. There’s no studio editing or re-recording. Wedding entertainment is specialised. Doctor Chocolate have a long and established career of performing for evening wedding parties and we deliver every time. After the dress, the ceremony, the flowers, the food, it’s probably the next most important part of the day yet one that few people budget for. It’s crucial to have a mix of songs in the sets that will appeal to all your guests – after all your guests have different musical tastes and are of different ages so you need a great mix of songs to get everyone on the dance floor. With 26 years experience and having played for hundreds of weddings our mix of songs is bang on! Our sets are full of non-stop, high-energy hits. and you can leave the entertainment in our very capable hands.
PROFESSIONAL MUSICIANS
Doctor Chocolate are made up of professional musicians. Our band members have played with Tony Hadley, Ian Matthews, Bobby Shew, Pee Wee Ellis, Fred Wesley, Clare Martin, Jackie Dankworth, Whitesnake, Iron Maiden, Reef, Ozzy’s Blizzard of Oz etc to name just a few and have played on numerous studio recordings. We are not a pub band, we are not a band that has been thrown together for one night by an agency. Doctor Chocolate are an established and reliable band who provide a great service to our clients. We don’t upscale or downscale the band to suit a budget. We don’t play with backing tracks. So when you book the band you are booking an established, professional and reliable band that will provide your event with the very best in music and entertainment.
Our Service
From the moment of enquiry through to the end of the night, we take care of everything and make the whole booking process really easy.
If you need help and advice we are here to help! We have played for hundreds of weddings and can offer advice on your timings/structure for the day. We send you a contract and talk to you about the structure and what timings you want us to perform. We are 100% flexible so if things change on the night we go with it. If your venue needs proof of our public liability insurance and pat test certificates we can email this through to them.
On the day we arrive in good time, are respectful to everyone at the venue and will liaise with the Hotel Manager/Wedding Coordinator to ensure everything runs smoothly. We set up quickly and sound check to ensure that the equipment sounds clear and within the venue limits. Our sound engineer attends every event so will work with your venue on this.
