In 2019 Doctor Chocolate travelled to Nantwich to play for a surprise birthday party for one of our favourite clients.
Doctor Chocolate played at the Webbington Hotel for Phil and Marianne’s wedding a few year’s ago. They had a great time, so great in fact, that they booked us to play for Marianne’s surprise Halloween themed birthday party in Cheshire 5 year’s ago in 2013. In May 2018 w had another email from Phil asking us to play for Mariannes birthday party again in 2018.
Doctor Chocolate jumped in our van and drove to Nantwich to be set up and sound checked before the birthday girl arrived.
Everything was top secret and how everyone managed to keep the surprise quiet is beyond us! All guests arrived early, dressed up and ready to party and remained quiet until the birthday girl arrived.
Hot food was provided by way of THE most delicious curry and the band were well looked after by Phil who had arranged for the band to stay overnight at a local hotel.
Everyone had a brilliant night and we’re pleased to say that the dance floor was full all evening. Our front man got out amongst the guests and ended up organising a limbo whilst simultaneously singing!
We even had paper aeroplanes thrown at us whilst on stage which said “BEST BAND EVER” all over them! Well, we can’t agree more!
This is the lovely message we had this week from Phil to thank the band. It’s always lovely to get a thank you from a client and this is now our third thank you from Phil and Marianne.
