Well having just watched the Grand National at Aintree and watching Tiger Roll win for the second time in a year it reminded us of the time Doctor Chocolate were asked to be the wedding band for a jockey a few years ago.

The wedding took place on a Monday night.  The reason being that the jockeys didn’t ride on a Tuesday so they could have a few drinks on the Monday night and take the Tuesday as a recovery day.  So Doctor Chocolate arrived at Rookery Manor just outside of Weston super Mare and set up for a wedding.  It’s really unusual to be asked to play for a wedding on a monday night and, from experience, we have found that weddings on a Thursday or Sunday night will start winding down from about 1030pm as people have work the next day unless they have taken the time off of work. So a Monday wedding was something we hadn’t taken part in before but we were delighted to be asked!  We didn’t need to worry however, as everyone was totally up for a party and the room was full of all the top jockeys in the United Kingdom, drinking and dancing the night away and staying on well past their bedtimes celebrating the wedding.
